Introduction to 3D Modeling & Printing – Grade 6+

Targeted grade:

6+

Semesters:

2

Total sessions:

24-30

Program Highlights

  • CAD Computer Aided Design is a revolutionary educational tool in rapid prototyping technology to manufacture 3D printed models.
  • Children can convert 2D ideas into 3D with computer software, and a 3D printer will “PRINT” the object from molten plastic.
Learning Targets
  • Capture students’ interest and stimulate interaction during class by printing ideas and concepts in 3 dimensions.
  • Various concepts will be not only visible but also tangible. For example, anything you usually draw in 2D can now be converted to 3D models that students can touch and investigate from any angle.
  • It is excellent to use the prototyping capabilities to make students’ creative ideas and designs come to life.
